Facial Contouring with Fillers
Fast and safe method with immediate results
Fillers are materials that are placed into deeper lines and wrinkles. Filler agents typically are used for those wrinkles that are too deep to be treated with lasers. These procedures are much less invasive than traditional face lifts with little or no down time. They are injected on the superficial or deep layer of the dermis restoring volume and providing a scaffold for new collagen growth. Most commonly filler agents are used for smile line wrinkles, between the eyebrows, sagging cheekbones or enhancement of the lips. Depressed scars secondary to lacerations, acne, chicken pox and other depressed scars can also be improved. These injections give natural volume under the wrinkle, which is lifted up and smoothed out. A treatment takes about 15 minutes and the results can be seen immediately.
One of ArteFill®'s main appeals is its permanency. ArteFill® consists of synthetic microspheres suspended in bovine (cow) collagen. It is an FDA-approved injectable wrinkle filler for smile lines but is also used off-label for lip augmentation, acne scars, and more.
A gel implant containing hyaluronic acid, Juvederm® is used for facial wrinkles and folds. The substance is biocompatible, and the body naturally absorbs it after about six to nine months.

Clinical trials of Restylane® show that Restylane®, Restylane® Fine Lines, and Perlane® are effective for up to six months after lip augmentation and up to twelve months after facial contouring.
